The Store

What we do!

We first opened in 1918 and have been serving families in Batavia and the surrounding communities for generations. And from the moment customers walk into our shop, they'll feel like they've stepped back in time to their childhoods. We started out as an alternative to the typical general store, specializing in toys and fun things with wheels like scooters and buggys. Over the decades, we've grown to become a fully functioning bicycle shop and have started selling family and educational, non-electronic games. At our heart, though, we're still the same store -- a place where people can find a variety of options for good, old-fashioned family fun.

What you will find?

You'll find all toys that don't require batteries. Adam Miller Toy & Bicycle has everything from Slinkys, pogo sticks, puzzles galore, sports balls, model cars, stuffed animals and even color books and sketch pads for those that have that creative nature. They even have some of the newer, in-trend toys like fidget spinners and fidget cubes. No matter what age you're shopping for, Adam Miller's is sure to have something everyone in your family will enjoy- whether it's Gumby who brings back those beloved childhood memories for the adults, or the shinning new bicycle for the one learning to ride. Since 1918, they've also specialized in bicycle sales, repair and complete bicycle restorations. There's one for every member of the family, whether you're looking for a sporty model, a rough terrain bike or one that's easy to ride.

100 Years of History

Established in 1918. Adam Miller Toy and Bicycle Shop was purchased in 1946 from Walter J. Davis. Mr. Davis started his wheel goods store in 1918 and in 1929 constructed a building at 8 Center Street to sell bicycles, tricycles, metal pedal cars, and other various toys. He also sold cigars and cigarettes, sharpened ice skates and lawn mower blades, and even strung tennis rackets to keep the business going. Now in addition to the lastest model of bikes, we carry vintage bikes and offer a wide variety of vintage toys.

Take a step back in time at this 100 year old Batavia Toy Store

Tucked away in a little corner of Batavia, N.Y. is a toy store that just celebrated a hundred years. The sign outside still says Adam Miller Toy and Bike, but John Roche took over the place in 2002 from the Miller family.
What makes this spot very special is that it's not just a toy store. John says "we've actually turned it into a bit of a museum. There's old toys, old games, old pictures and old bicycles."
The store specializes in some of the classic toys that have been reproduced like pick-up stix and tiddly winks. John says some customers bring back their childhood treasures to add to the stores collection. If you remember Red Ryder BB Guns, Tinker Toys and Lincoln Logs, you'll feel right at home here.
